New Blog- My Singapore Adventure
As you can tell by seeing my FB Photo’s, John & I did a lot! I wish I could do more of this all over the world. I love seeing the sights, talking to people about what I love to do (wrestling) and meeting all the fans. These are luxuries you can’t do when wrestling within an arena, ya know?
I never been to Singapore before… I didn’t know what to expect at all! And was a pleasantly surprised! I love architecture! Everything is art to me so seeing sculptures, buildings and structures that are so amazing is thrilling to me. There was so much to take in and we only had a day and a half! I’m glad we got to see as much as we could.
I was very surprised to see how interested everyone was about mine and John’s relationship. I guess I would want to know too but it’s something that is only mentioned by me on twitter, it’s not a storyline or hyped up anywhere. It warmed my heart to be able to express how I feel about John.
My favorite place to have gone was Beyond Social Services. It’s a center that helps improve the lives of families and individuals from disadvantaged low-income backgrounds. John and I both told each of our stories on how we made it to wrestling. Believe it or not peeps, I didn’t have much growing up. My family had to work so hard to get us a decent place to live. I watched my parents fight for the well being and better quality of living for their children. Their sacrifice and hard work wasn’t for nothing. That was the first time I told my story in front of people. I just wanted them to know that they can be me one day. That they don’t have to have a silver spoon in their mouth or be born into a perfect family. It truly begins with a dream. The rest is up to you.
I Gave so many hugs. I saw my future in all their eyes. I want to help children. Nurture them. Teach them about this life. Give them hope and motivate them. I didn’t want to leave them. I really hope we can go back to Singapore soon and go back and visit them.
Then we met 100 winners at Starhub who viewed the sneak peak of the first episode of TE. They were amazing! So alive with excitement! I had a blast. We did a contest on who could come close to doing our entrances, Q & A and a signing. It’s great to take the time to interact with people. I also got to meet a Tweetheart, Arie! She won a TE Chair…. lucky! I wanted one! :p
I have to say The Muttons from 98.7 were so much fun. I hope to go on their show again. ChannelNewsAsia were so welcoming and kind. It was definitely a pleasure and Jojo Joget was a riot. He had me rolling in laughter when we taped the show. Thank you everyone we met. You are the reason I have such a great impression of Singapore.
I truly had a great time and left knowing more about and loving Singapore. I can’t wait to go back!
